He's making a list....checking it twice!

This is a Thanksgiving & Santa Claus visit combo post.
This was Chase & I waiting in line to see Santa. Chase was nothing BUT excited to sit on Santa's lap!
When it was FINALLY Chase's turn to sit on Santa lap, he took off RUNNING to see Santa Claus. He acted just like it was his papa! It was the cutest thing!!! I was shocked that this was his behavior to St. Nick, I thought for sure he would shy away like he always does, or scream and cry like most kids' pictures on Santa's lap. He finally pulled his arms from around Santa's neck only to look at him, smile & throw his arms back around his neck. It was like you could see him thinking..."Santa! Finally I get to meet you!" Santa Claus of course asked Chase what he'd like his elves to make him and how old he was.
Chase did NOT want to leave Santa Claus, but did ask him to tell the reindeer hi! As we were walking away Chase said..."I love Santa!" This is the first year Chase has gotten the whole Santa/Christmas/presents thing. He will be a lot of fun Christmas morning....especially if Santa and his elves really do pull through and get him that race track! :)
Chase is always a great helper and wants to do whatever we are doing, especially in the kitchen. He loves to taste and poke his fingers in whatever we're doing. Breaking bread for the stuffing was a perfect job for him! This was really the only picture of Thanksgiving....but you get the idea...food, family, relaxation (after all the cooking & cleanup)!
After Thanksgiving came the first Christmas present....a new puppy from Chad's Dr. He is completely chocolate brown and thanks to Chase who calls him his teddy bear-teddy bear, we decided to call him Bear. Chad said its just like having another baby....but I'm pretty sure this is a lot easier than having a baby. This puppy doesn't wake me up in the night.....doesn't whine/cry or wear a diaper. We put out a dish and bowl of water and he feeds himself....and best of all I didn't have to push him out of anything!
Bear is only 8 weeks old when we got him, but was very well mannered from he get go. The breeders must have spent a lot of time with them as pups because he seems very well adjusted. We were very excited to have this new addition to the family!
Chase thinks Bear is 'his' new puppy & as long as he doesn't nip at him he loves to let him chase him! This will be perfect for them to grow up together, I'm just glad little boys don't grow as fast as puppies!!
