Happy Anniversary!!!

It's been 4 years since Chad & I have been married!! Crazy to think how much our lives have changed over the last few years!!! Although it seems like we have been married way longer than only 4 years, but maybe because we have known eachother for almost 7!!! He sure is a great husband and daddy, and I better like him cuz we'll be together FOREVER!!! I Love you Chad!

This was our engagement picture we sent out with our annoucements.

This is a picture I think we should send to a friend we have in the diamond business. Doesn't it look like a perfect advertisement for the girls best friend?
One of my favorite candid shots, the amazing thing was it took us about a 1/2 hour to take all our engagement pictures...wham bam thank you mam.
I really love the winter and snow, and I think this is a gorgeous picture of the mountains covered in winter!!! I love looking forward to something after the holidays are over!!!
These puckered lips made us a quite a few bucks at our wedding dinner later that evening...due to a great tradition my dad's family has had...they ring a bell and put money in a basket, we kiss every time we hear the bell ring.....easy money!!! What long hair I had....ahem....had. I chopped off about 9 inches after Christmas.
What a cute couple!!! I remember that day was perfect, we both said we wouldn't have changed anything at all about the whole entire day!!! Happy 4 years Chad!

12 Things I LOVE about Christmas!!!

I feel like I should do something Christmas-y with the blog...so here are my favorite things about Christmas:

1. Spending time with family & friends (and missing those who we won't see: Mike & Trish, JR & Aubree, Shaun)
2. Listening to Christmas music (any will do, but Alabama & Celine Deon are my faves)
3. Christmas trees
4. Christmas lights
5. Fun Decorations, especially nativities
6. Christmas parties & bonuses
7. Eating yummy yummy food!! (you'd be surprised how many treats we get from patients in a dental office!!!) not to mention the famous Marrott raspberry slush
8. Let it snow! Let it Snow! Let it SNOW!!!
9. Christmas shopping!!!
10. Children's faces (nieces, nephews, Chase) when they see presents from Santa!!!
11. Over 12 days OFF WORK!!
12. Lastly, but most importantly, the birth of Baby Jesus!! I love reading books & teaching Chase about Baby Jesus and how important He is in our lives!! And not only as a child, but the importance of His life & sacrifice as an adult!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Gosh....Mess

I'm at the computer and Chase comes around the corner saying....gosh! mess! with an empty upside down NestleQuik container. I actually laughed, otherwise I would have cried. If he didn't have a cold, stomach flu & double ear infection I probably would have screamed. Guess I should be more careful about closing cupboards eh? Don't worry he kept licking his fingers and eating the 'choc' as he calls it right off the floor!!! Don't be surprised if you find chunks of rice from last night's dinner fit. I am discovering I don't have as much patience as I thought I did, and don't know how my mother had 8 of us!!!

Dancing Queen...young & sweet!!

So a few wards are getting together for a Winter Ball in December, which is supposed to be formal. So for activity Wednesday night we had a "get ready for the ball" night. They were supposed to bring dresses from dances they've been to and exchange with other girls, but we ended up just playing dress up with the fun & original dresses thanks to the wright sisters!! (and mother) The girls had a great time!!
Our awesome Young Women group!!!

Don't you worry, McKall took both the turquoise & pink dresses to wear. They were the only dresses of the 20 I brought that got picked to wear to the dance!!!

Not only did we have dresses, but thanks to the other ward, we also had a lady come and show us some fun hair styles (formal & casual) and also makeup tips!!! Should be a fun night!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Our lil' skunk!
He kept saying "Pew" all night long.

We went to the church for 'Trunk or Treat', so he got a lot of candy in a short amount of time, and he's no dummy, once he figured out he had candy in his bucket he started to eat it!!! He no longer wanted to walk around, he just sat in the back of the car chowin' down!!!

Notice his tail up ready to 'spray' his predator if anyone came close to the suckers!! Those were his favorite!!

Until he figured out candy went in the bucket, it was used to scare mom!!

More From Texas!!!

Day 2 in San Antonio was spent at Six Flags!!! What a fun place!! Trish & I could have lived on the roller coasters! After a few rides of Mike & Chad taking turns watching Chase (Trish & I never volunteered) we saw a lady doing the "baby swap" so we decided to follow along, we just took Chase with us and Chad & I would ride 1st, while Trish & Mike held Chase & then we switched right after the ride so we didn't have to wait 2 whole turns in line!!! Bring on Superman!!
This is one of those things I totally made fun of before I had my own kid & now I'm eating my words because we LOVED the back-pack leash, & luckily so did Chase!! He would hug & kiss his little dog whenever he took it off. He was too wrapped up in pushing the stroller that day that we ended up ditching the stroller the whole day we were in the park!!!

How can you eat at an amusement park without a turkey leg? Chase really liked it!!

Michael got a great shot of Trish & I on the 1st free-fall of the 'Boomerang'...pretty nice shot I'd say!!!

Our future Superman rider!!!

Day 3 of San Antonio we spent downtown at the Alamo & the Riverwalk!! What a pretty place & you have no idea how humid it was that day!!! Yes, that is Chase picking his nose as if to say "Boring!" He was in no mood for museams.

This caught Chase's attention, staring into a cannon! I think he is trying to talk to somebody out there...

After the Alamo we went to the Wax Museum, where Trish & I were told we were on Oprah's favorite things...Sara that's for you!
Next to the wax musuem was 'Ripley's Believe it or Not' This I thought was especially cool-Huge tires that go on huge work trucks. This is exactly the size of the trucks they use in Elko for the gold mines....1 tire equals like 80 regular tires or something like that....yes Chase is sitting inside of it!!! Those things are massive!!

A very cute & famous bridge over the riverwalk (I think Mom & Dad had their picture taken there also). I'm saving the picture that has the water in it for our Christmas card~bet you can't wait!

What's Texas without a tree made from deer horns? I actually thought it was pretty cool & the Bass Pro Shop gives Cabela's a run for their money!!!
The rest of the trip we went from eating Rudy's BBQ & Bluebell Ice-cream to playing, I mean touring through ROCK BAND!!! We are serious jammers!!! The picures don't tell you how hard we were laughing and how many unison bonus's we had!!! I highly recommend joining

Even Chase found the rocker in him!!! Until he threw the drumsticks at the TV !

Chase spent 2 days alone with Aunt Trish & Uncle Mike where he swam, went to the park and I'm afraid had band practice without us. He loved the water, but it was a little on the cold side so he never got past the first 2 steps.

Our Grand Finale evening in Texas was spent at a Brad Paisley concert!! Chuck Wicks & Jewel opened for him & it was a very very good concert!!! Brad (aka Chad, I think he's a look-a-like) is very very talented!!! Not only does he seriously rock out on his guitar solos, but he also did the animation for the visual effects too!!

When you see a deer you see Bambi....& I see antlers up on the wall
Chase the photographer...he is in such a copy-cat mode right now, we really have to be careful what we do and say...luckily this time it was only..."cheez"!!!
This is how Chase spent most of the concert, dumping out his treats and sitting on them!! He sure was good considering all the 'adult' things we did on this vacation!! Chad kept saying "you just don't take 1 year olds here"...very true...
By the way we did go to 10 hours of dental classes we needed, and in the exhibitor's hall where they have products & demos, there was Deon Sanders & Michael Irvin signing footballs. You had to purchase 20 boxes of gloves to get a football, and you couldn't just buy a football so there were people surrounding them just taking pictures. Pretty cool!!!
All in all our trip was a BLAST!!! Chad said 'a good time was had by all'!!! Thanks to Trish & Mike for all the yummy meals, homemade & at the authentic texan places we were hoping to experience!! If it wasn't Rudy's it was a home cooked breakfast feast that would put Denny's to shame!!! We all gained about 10 lbs, even Chase packed 3-4 on in a week! It was so hard to leave, not only the nice comfortable weather, but the great lil' sis I have!!! Now if only Mike's job could transfer him to Honolulu Hawaii for next years ADA convention!!!!

San Antonio Baby!!!

To start off-I started a blog when Trish & Mike moved to San Antonio to be able to keep in touch with them so far away. That was in January. So my much more technologically advanced sister is giving me a live how-to when 8 months later we came to visit. I promise to post again before another 8 months go by...

Chad & I have a dental seminar in San Antonio, so we decided to come a week early and spent some time with our favorite Aunt Trish & Uncle Mike!! We spent our 1st day in San Antonio at Sea World!! Chase was ready for a nap before we left and didn't sleep a wink until we were leaving the park...when this picture was taken. He was done!

Who goes to Sea World without seeing Shamu? You're just glad I spared you the "Believe" speech that was almost nauseating. Dreams really can come true....yaddy yaddy yaddy

We should have taken a picture of all the cool divers, but the dolphins are always a hit!!!

The highlight of our trip to Sea World was Tricia's friend Valerie, she is a trainer who works with the Beluga whales. So we got a sneek peek "back stage" to get up close and personal with the albino whales. These million dollar mammals eat 40-60 lbs of fish every day!!!

Believe it or not even whales have bad breath. 'Luna' would blow on you when pet her & well they eat fish all day so you can only imagine!! What an awesome rare experience!! We are having a blast here in TEXAS & putting our dent in the BlueBell ice-cream. So far (we've been here 30 hours) and have eaten 2 gallons!! More to come later!!!
