He's making a list....checking it twice!

This is a Thanksgiving & Santa Claus visit combo post.
This was Chase & I waiting in line to see Santa. Chase was nothing BUT excited to sit on Santa's lap!
When it was FINALLY Chase's turn to sit on Santa lap, he took off RUNNING to see Santa Claus. He acted just like it was his papa! It was the cutest thing!!! I was shocked that this was his behavior to St. Nick, I thought for sure he would shy away like he always does, or scream and cry like most kids' pictures on Santa's lap. He finally pulled his arms from around Santa's neck only to look at him, smile & throw his arms back around his neck. It was like you could see him thinking..."Santa! Finally I get to meet you!" Santa Claus of course asked Chase what he'd like his elves to make him and how old he was.
Chase did NOT want to leave Santa Claus, but did ask him to tell the reindeer hi! As we were walking away Chase said..."I love Santa!" This is the first year Chase has gotten the whole Santa/Christmas/presents thing. He will be a lot of fun Christmas morning....especially if Santa and his elves really do pull through and get him that race track! :)
Chase is always a great helper and wants to do whatever we are doing, especially in the kitchen. He loves to taste and poke his fingers in whatever we're doing. Breaking bread for the stuffing was a perfect job for him! This was really the only picture of Thanksgiving....but you get the idea...food, family, relaxation (after all the cooking & cleanup)!
After Thanksgiving came the first Christmas present....a new puppy from Chad's Dr. He is completely chocolate brown and thanks to Chase who calls him his teddy bear-teddy bear, we decided to call him Bear. Chad said its just like having another baby....but I'm pretty sure this is a lot easier than having a baby. This puppy doesn't wake me up in the night.....doesn't whine/cry or wear a diaper. We put out a dish and bowl of water and he feeds himself....and best of all I didn't have to push him out of anything!
Bear is only 8 weeks old when we got him, but was very well mannered from he get go. The breeders must have spent a lot of time with them as pups because he seems very well adjusted. We were very excited to have this new addition to the family!
Chase thinks Bear is 'his' new puppy & as long as he doesn't nip at him he loves to let him chase him! This will be perfect for them to grow up together, I'm just glad little boys don't grow as fast as puppies!!

I love that Chase isn't scared of Santa! Ty was last year and this year he doesn't want to sit on his lap. That picture of the hug is priceless.

chase is so cute! I got lanie to wave at santa but that is as far as we got, but I will take it. And we might have to borrow bear for the weekend. Our kids want santa to bring them a puppy. But that isn't happening.( This year anyways.) OH we miss you guys.

Chase's love for Santa is so adorable! He needs to have a chat with Hunter. And this puppy is too cute. I love that you named him Bear. What an awesome buddy for Chase to grow up with.

Chase for sure has No FeAr!! Yeah, Brenner didn't cry this year, but a hug and a smile.......NEVER. I love that story. He is such a cutie. And we welcome Bear to the family. He I'm sure will fit right in with the cousins. After being at our house Ben and Nat's kids were listing all the cousins and then Megan said "Don't forget Larry!" So now we get to add Bear to that growing list of cousins! Yipee for that growing list :0)

Glad we got to see you for a couple days. Sadly I wasn't sure if Carson was standing up or not he is still so short. Hope you're doing well. How much do we owe you for Christmas/toothbrushes or whatever it is we owe you money for?
