Cove Fort

Chad's parents are on a mission at Cove Fort. They are on a 6 month mission, so we went to visit them while they were there, so they could give us the personalized tour.
This is all of us outside the fort
Just our little family, outside the fort
Cove Fort, est in the 1890s.  If you haven't been to Cove Fort, you should stop in.  It was originally created as a telegraph station between Beaver & Fillmore, since a telegraph could only be sent 30 miles.  It was ran by President Hinkley's grandpa. Several travelers passing by would stay there.  It was a great reminder of how life used to be.  How basic life used to be a chore.  We have a lot of conviences in our lives, dishwashers, washers & dryers, indoor plumbing, and what are we filling our spare time with since we aren't baking our own bread?  Blogging I guess today :)
Hinckley Family Cabin, church on Sunday was held behind the building under the trees
They had a few games and pioneer type things to do and watch, it was a hot day

Happy Birthday Bridger

I know its probably the most common thing to say on a 1st birthday, but I really can't believe Bridger is 1 already.  He is such a sweet boy and is so easy going to go and do whatever his family drags him along to.  I just can't believe how fast the time goes.
Bridger's birthday was at the cabin this year, and why not? He spent a week there when he was only a week old, so why not have his first birthday party there too?
I love that open mouth grin!  You know he is so excited and so happy when you see his mouth wide open.
He received the perfect amount of gifts for a 1st birthday, and is loving his new items, as well as the wrapping paper, balloons and tissue paper that any normal 1 year old would gravitate to.
He was so cute with his cake, he repeatedly would stick in his thumb like Jack Horner and lick the frosting off.
I should have known better than have red frosting, his eyes were red the whole next day.
His Marrott cousins loving on him for his 1st birthday.  So lucky to have such great family members, old and young that love him & play with him!!

Bridger is such a joy to have in our home. He is a very very busy boy, I just knew once he got mobile there would be no turning back. We call him a tornado, cuz thats what the house looks like when he is awake. And thank goodness for that.  I am lucky to have such great boys in my life.

The Cruise

Ok, don't friek out! But yes, I am blogging!  Chad & I went on a cruise back in March, and it seems so long ago now, we already want to go again.  So I was looking at the pictures and thought maybe I should share them, then maybe it will feel like we just went :)
This was our cruise ship, it was Norweigen
 St. Maarten, our favorite stop
I had to have my hair braided, 1st stop.  It makes it so much easier the rest of the trip
 Taxis in St. Maarten
How some of them sale their wears
In honor of Swamp People we had to stop at the Everglades National Park so get in some gator action, what you can't see is that guy has an alligator tattoo all up his arm
Alligators are very lazy animals, unlike how they are portrayed on TV
They had an ice bar on the cruise ship where they served drinks (even non-alcoholic) in an ice cup, you couldn't stay in there for longer than 1/2 hr, and you had to wear parkas and sit on ice benches.  Something with the humitidity, this pic was obviously before the hair braiding.
Just like the rumors we'd heard, the room attendants made animals out of towels. And of course you could buy the DVD on How-To make them for 1/2 a million dollars

A little bowling on the ship, which was hilarious. We weren't even drunk like 1/2 of them and it was still hard to do while the floor was moving.
 Snorkel trip on St. Thomas
This is the 'mall' at St. Thomas, the best little restaraunt was down here
 Ahhh....the bahamas.....

Random Pictures/Year in Review

My 1st sewing project in a long time, turned out cute though
Chase loves it when Bridger gets to watch cartoons with him, and Bridger just loves being held & snuggled
Can't tell by the look on his face, but he does love having a bath.
Big brother helping give Bridger his 1st bath
Bridger hanging out on moms bed
1st camping trip with Bridger, he's under there somewhere
His letters in his room, makes me want to re-do Chase's
Happy Halloween!
What you can't see is Chase is wearing his swimsuit
Climbing grandpa's tree
One of the benefits of having Dr. appts in Utah so often, was being able to go to the cabin a lot more than we normally do. Chase loves shooting his BB gun, and if you ask, he will tell you its his gun that his daddy used to use when he was a wittle kid

Preschool end of year program, I won't say graduation because he still has another year
Momma bird laid 4 eggs in our wreath this spring, yes on our front door
Playing T-ball this year, he said his favorite part was hanging out in the dugout. Once he comes out of his little "shell" he is quite social
Soccer
All my huntin boys
Daddy & Chase with dad's cool turkey
We are constantly playing cowboy

Bridger's Baby Blessing

The man of the hour :) I think he looks sooo much like Chad.

Our new little family picture, corn stalks & apple trees make for a great background!

I wanted a picture like this since Bridger was born. I love how Chase put his finger over his brother's hand, he is already protective.

I didn't love that Chad was wearing his watch, but loved Bridger's hand perfectly holding mine

Grandpa always loves pictures with his grandkids, this was at the end of the photo shoot and they were running out of patience.

Wright side of the family

Marrott side of the family

Loving on his brother, what he does best!

Hard for 4 year olds to keep their eyes closed unless they are sleeping

Cousins lovin on their new baby cousin

Best buds, remind me why we live so far apart??
